The extensive USSR’s uranium-mining program between 40‘ and late 60‘ in Kyrgyzstan, left a great number of radioactive waste that now threatens the whole region with an ecological disaster. Most of the old mining infrastructure, uranium ore extraction industry and waste is located in a wild nature in the mountains integrating (or not) with the paysage.
